This marks the umpteenth attempt at crafting my website bio, and I have to admit, it's not getting any easier. Writing isn't my strong suit, and talking about myself feels like traversing uncharted territory.

I go by the name Riley Clark, a product of the vibrant city of Las Vegas, NV. Interestingly, I didn't spend much time in the city during my formative years. My earliest memories are woven with adventures in the great outdoors alongside my family – experiences that have fundamentally shaped my journey to date. While I may not have been your typical creative soul, my undeniable penchant for embracing fresh challenges and opportunities sets me apart.

My initial encounter with a camera came during my high school days, thanks to a photography class. The art form immediately captivated me, and throughout high school, I dabbled as a portrait photographer. Unfortunately, after high school, the camera gathered dust for nearly four years.

In that interval, life happened. I tied the knot with my high school sweetheart, earned a bachelor's degree in hotel management from UNLV, and embarked on a career as a PGA golf professional. Later, I returned to the academic world, pursuing a master's in business administration and marketing, all while pursuing a college golf coaching career as a graduate assistant for the UNLV Men’s Golf Program.

Then, in 2020, the world witnessed the disruptive force of COVID-19, upending all my "well-laid plans." It was during this time that I rediscovered my camera, but this time, it wasn't for still photos. I found myself immersed in the world of video production, creating content for friends, family, and occasional clients. In the midst of this, the concept of nature photography serendipitously entered my life.

I'm naturally inclined toward introversion, a revelation that often surprises people who know me. I can be quite outgoing and adept at holding conversations, but that skill is a product of my hospitality industry experience rather than a natural inclination. So when I discovered that I could merge my passion for photography with the solitude of the great outdoors, I eagerly embraced the opportunity.

The reality that I can provide for my family by crafting art for others still feels like a dream. I cannot overstate my gratitude to individuals like yourself because, without your support, this journey wouldn't have been possible.
